Both new delays offer unique functions like morphing sounds into lush ambiances. Then, the UVI developers also upgraded the effects section with 7 new algorithms, including a pitch-shifting Shifter and Harmonizer, an expanded version of the Dual Delay X with dispersion, and the novel delays: diffuse and velvet. Sounds like a very interesting new addition to the sound source section of Falcon. It consists of two-channel texture and noise generators that lets users easily create complex and evolving sounds, with pitch, blending, filtering, and more. It adds an all-new texture oscillator to the already impressive arsenal of available oscillators. The new update 2.8 adds new a big amount of new creating features. Another free update that is very remarkable. Good news: the new Falcon 2.8 update is free of charge for existing customers. Among other things, you can explore a new texture oscillator and an adaptation of the Dual Delay X plugin. Usually, you will find here a plethora of different synthesis types, tons of effects, possibilities to create your own signal path, create own scripts, and more.įor the Falcon 2, there is an exciting free update 2.8 with many new features.

The two best-known are Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2 and Falcon 2 from the French company UVI.

There are fewer true Synthesizer workstation plugins that bundle a huge number of features into one plugin. If you have Maschine and Komplete, that gives Komplete much more of an edge.UVI has updated its Synthesizer workstation plugin Falcon to version 2.8 with a new texture oscillator, 7 new effects, and more. As for better overall product, that's obviously Komplete since it has a ton of other things while Omnisphere is just a synth. I could go on and on about Komplete, but will instead say that's your best choice if you MUST pick only one.

If you know how to work those electric guitar sample libraries like V-Metal guitar and Shreddage II, those with Guitar Rig are very convincing and I prefer the Project SAM orchestral libraries available for Kontakt (Symphobia, Lumina, etc) over EWQL libraries and their "PLAY" format.

Kontakt, however, is my choice for sampled sounds, such as pianos, electric basses (most recently, even over Trillian's basses), and third party Kontakt libraries for orchestral and electric guitar sounds are high quality. I could be a matter of taste, but Massive and FM8 are almost useless to me (sounds are like '80's video game sounds and I don't do dubstep) because Omnisphere covers what I need in their area. Omnisphere is nearly always my 1st choice for synth sounds over the NI synths. Komplete has everything while Omnisphere is really just synths and not much in terms of "real world" sounds.
